THE GAME
The board is your moveset. Line up gloves, boots, belts and wraps, and your fighter throws the hit on stage — wind-ups telegraph, blocks negate, cascades charge SUPERs. It looks like a puzzle. It plays like a brawl.
WHY IT'S A FIGHTER
In most match-3 games the board is the whole world. In Match KO it's just your corner of the ring. Every match becomes an attack with a wind-up you can see — and so can your opponent.
That changes what a turn means. Match the block color to negate an incoming hit. Answer an attack with a bigger one. Or eat the chip damage on purpose, because the cascade you've been building for three turns is about to land like a truck.
Telegraph, read, block, punish. The puzzle is the input. The fight is the game.
WAYS TO PLAY
THE ROSTER
No fighter has better numbers than another — each one bends the same combat math a different way. Find the one that matches how you already think.
Volume puncher. +10% on every 3-tile match. A thousand jabs beat one haymaker.
Demolition pro. +15% on cascades. Hits harder still once you're hurt — pressure is the whole plan.
Rhythm fighter. +15% on 4-tile-and-up matches, and clean lines heal her. Efficiency is a weapon.
Pattern tactician. +30% when matches form an L or T shape. Sees corners the rest of us don't.
Anti-defense bruiser. +25% when a cascade smashes through Block tiles. Walls are a suggestion.
Comeback kid. +10% damage while behind on HP. Never count her out.
THE VENUES
Every fight plays out on a pixel-art stage — mountain passes, torch-lit ruins, temple gates — while the crowd of tiles waits below.
